Proud Of Our Factory
Set the Status of Manufacturing from Kakegawa
A total rebranding project for Coprec, a precision sheet metal processing company in Kakegawa, Shizuoka. With the vision "Proud of Our Factories", the project aims to elevate the pride of those in manufacturing and improve the industry's perception at both local and national levels.
By establishing a strong identity through a new logo and original typography, the project created a unified design system applied across new factory, signage, uniforms, and the company website. This comprehensive branding sets a new standard for manufacturing, extending beyond a single company to challenge the industry as a whole.
Issue
Elevating the Status of Manufacturing
Japan’s globally recognized "Japan Quality" is upheld by factory workers. Yet, many manufacturing businesses, including Coprec, have long been pressured to cut costs, sacrificing not only their working conditions but also the value of their craftsmanship.
A factory is more than just a place to produce goods. It should be a space where workers take pride in their craft, grow in their careers, build strong bonds, and earn the respect of family and friends.
With this vision, the "Proud of Our Factories" project was launched to enhance the pride and recognition of factory workers and establish a new standard for the next generation of manufacturing.
Creation
Total Branding for Precision Sheet Metal Factories
The project highlights the overlooked challenges and unrecognized strengths of factory work, setting a clear goal: to raise the pride of workers and elevate the manufacturing industry's status from Kakegawa to a national level.
Under the corporate vision "Proud of Our Factories", the initiative was developed in two phases:
Phase 1: Foundation Building
Phase 2: Outreach & Communication
A strong brand identity was created through a custom logo and original font, ensuring consistency across a new factory, signage, uniforms, and the company website. Centered on the workers themselves, the design redefines the role of factories in the modern manufacturing landscape.
The project’s website received an Honorable Mention from Awwwards, recognizing its outstanding design and branding approach.

Future
Expanding the "Proud of Our Factories" Movement
This project, driven by the goal of uplifting manufacturing professionals and reshaping the industry’s image, has gained strong support from peers and even businesses outside the sector. It has led to collaborative projects and new opportunities, such as custom fabrication requests from creators, expanding the potential of sheet metal processing.
More than a single-company rebranding, this initiative continues to manufacture pride, challenging the perception of the manufacturing industry as a whole.
