Bipass: Exploring New Paths for Resources
A Platform for Discussions on the Future of Biomass
Global chemical company Daicel and creative media outlet Chizai Zukan have jointly developed and operated Bipass, a web media platform dedicated to exploring new resource pathways.
Focusing on biomass, Daicel’s core technology, Bipass goes beyond the company’s initiatives to feature efforts from various organizations and industries. By encouraging discussions and raising awareness, it aims to expand the social recognition of biomass and build a network of contributors working toward a sustainable future.
Issue
Co-Creating Value with Partners for a Circular Society
Daicel Corporation, guided by its long-term vision and strategy, is advancing efforts to build an environmentally conscious society by transcending traditional corporate boundaries and co-creating value with like-minded partners. Recognizing that meaningful connections are built not only through products and technology but also through shared empathy and trust, Daicel launched the web media platform Bipass.
The company is focused on developing a new biomass product tree using renewable resources like forest materials, along with innovative process technologies that minimize environmental impact. These efforts aim to contribute to the realization of a carbon-neutral, circular society.
Creation
AC-CELL: Driving Co-Creation
The Bipass platform is managed by AC-CELL, a unit formed by members from Daicel and Chizai Zukan to push beyond corporate boundaries and take on future-focused challenges.
AC-CELL drives innovation by connecting with diverse people and technologies, breaking away from conventional thinking. Moving forward, it will host live events, develop new co-creation initiatives in product and experience design, and collaborate with local governments.
